It may seem unbelievable but true that YS College students have found placements in known companies, banks, blue chip companies during their study period. This placement is not limited to one or two years but it has been regular feature with the students studying in this college to find placement every year. Youth Festivals

Every year our students excelled in the inter college Youth Festival competition at the Regional and National level.

  • In 2019-20 YS College bagged 47 medals at the Regional Inter College Youth Festival and won Overall Runner up trophy in College Youth Festival
  • In 2018-19 YS College bagged 45 medals at the Regional Inter College Youth Festival
  • In 2017-18 YS College bagged 37 medals at the Regional Inter College Youth Festival
Grooming

Soft skill has become an integral part of one’s personality and in YS responsibility of soft skill training includes – English Speaking, Public speaking throughout the year by special teachers in the Language Lab and Audi Practice. Apart from this, it includes confidence building, stress management, dress etiquettes, Body language, group discussion and interview preparations.

‘Youth of Today Are The Leaders of Tomorrow’, to prove the validity of this saying we have introduced committee system in the college which proved appreciable and rewarding in International Level Universities. These committees play a vital role in managing and promoting various events, programs and activities.

Abhilasha Scholarship
YS College is launching a new program this year called ABHILASHA, a scholarship initiative aimed at helping grade 12 meritorious students take the first step towards fulfilling their dreams of pursuing BCA, BSc (IT), BCom and BA (Mass Communication and Journalism) Courses. This program not only helps students realize their full potential, but it also provides them with an excellent chance to pursue their aspirations by opening doors to company recruitments at an affordable fee structure.

At YS we not only believe in equipping students with knowledge and skills but also back them up with hands on training which assists them in achieving excellence and succeeding in their career.

  1. Students’ Leadership Council (SLC):- Student’s Leadership Council is a club that assists in organizing all the functions in the college as well as at the professional level. The students deal with all problems like discipline, organizing all the major events. ‘Drona Awards’ and health camp at trident group are some of the examples of this.
  2. The Campus:- Many students dream of becoming a journalist and this becomes possible after completing their graduation. Here, this society provides an opportunity to live this dream at a very young age; this initiative helps the students to acquire management and writing and interviewing skills. The Campus is printed every fortnight and it contains all the news and achievements related to YS College.
  3. Literati: –  Literature changes the world and authors and poems have always been the driving force of each revolution that has taken place in the history of the world. In this society students get the opportunity to polish and publish their work with ensured guidance under experts of the field.
  4. Next-Gen Artists:- This Fine Arts society is one of the kinds where the members of society get a platform to showcase their artistic skills through national and international exhibitions. Apart from this, the members also get guidance from highly qualified mentors.
  5. YS Debate Society (YSDS):- Nobody is born with orating skills. This society is an initiative to develop speaking skills along with the thinking ability of the students. In association with IIMUN and national and international debating societies, the members of this society have been bringing laurels to college by winning many competitions.
  6. Kalamanch Performing Arts Society (KAPAS):- This theater and music society of the college believes in the fact that you are free to follow your dreams; scholars who are interested in acting and music get training from highly qualified mentors. They are also given the chance to perform in various stages.
  7. Ours Mart:- It is an entrepreneurial initiative run by the students that sells all the stationery, and fine arts supplies in the college campus both online and offline. The club is an initiative to develop these young minds into entrepreneurial minds.
  8. Khoj- The research society of YS college inspires the students to research from grade 11 itself to dive into research. With the help of their mentors, students will not only do research on the topic of their interest but will also get an opportunity to get their research published.
